Katie joined Parkinson’s UK in May 2018, where she works to help the charity integrate the needs of healthcare professionals and people affected by Parkinson’s. As part of the Parkinson’s Connect support and information transformation project, she works to strengthen the support pathway between the NHS and Parkinson’s UK. Katie also leads on communications for the UK Parkinson’s Excellence Network – connecting and equipping health and social care professionals to provide the services people affected by the condition want to see.

Katie has over 10 years’ experience working in charities and translational research partnerships, engaging both non-expert and professional audiences with a variety of research and health topics. Most recently, she supported communications at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
