The Advanced MasterClass is designed for consultants, experienced Parkinson’s nurses, final year registrars, final year old age psychiatry registrars, GPwSIs, experienced neurosciences pharmacists, associate specialists and staff grade physicians. The course will advance understanding of Parkinson’s disease and related movement disorders through taught sessions and mentorship (a mentor will be appointed for each participant where applicable).

Programme is being confirmed, please find below our programme for 2019 on which next year’s course will be structured. Please note that the 2020 MasterClass will have 2 two-day modules, unlike the 2019 programme below (three-day module 1 & one-day module 2).

2019 Programme



The course will cost £850, including VAT. Delegates are responsible for their own travel costs.
 The course is part funded and accommodation/food is covered during both modules within a separate unrestricted educational grant. There are no course fee reductions should accommodation not be required.

  • Please ensure study leave has been applied for/approved before you apply for a place. Additional seminars and learning opportunities will be undertaken more locally with the mentor and through distance learning.

To complete the course delegates must return for module 2 where they will present their inter-module project/audit to the Academy. Failure to attend will result in the full cost of the course being charged to you. → Click here for module 2
