Roadshows offer expert half-day training courses

The Parkinson's Academy roadshows are touring the country again offering expert MasterClass training in one afternoon for busy healthcare professionals. Courses are available on the non-oral therapies for Parkinson's and non-motor symptoms.Following its success in 2016, the Non-Oral Therapy Roadshow is back on the road. We have re-launched a new series of this regional roadshow which explores the non-oral therapy guideline pathway in detail, giving clinicians a road-map for the use of non-oral therapies (apomorphine, intestinal levodopa gel infusion (Duodopa) and deep brain stimulation) and an explicit referral process too. Courses will take place in Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh and Sheffield.Learn moreThe motor features of Parkinson’s have traditionally been the focus of management, yet non-motor symptoms such as sleep disturbance, constipation and dementia are often the most problematic symptoms for patients. The Academy has started a new series of half-day Non-Motor Symptoms Roadshows specifically designed for allied health professionals taking place in three areas. The course kicked off in Edinburgh earlier this year, with two more to follow later this year in Manchester and Sheffield for which we are still welcoming applications.A further series of non-motor symptoms roadshows for clinicians is also currently in the planning stages, so please do let us know if you would be interested in taking part.Learn more
