Neil ArchibaldFaculty

Dr Neil Archibald is a consultant neurologist at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.

He specialises in Movement Disorders and works with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver services acrossTeesside and North Yorkshire. He completed his PhD at Newcastle University in 2010, and has a particular interest in the array of visual symptoms encountered in PD and PD dementia. He runs a visual perception clinic in Newcastle upon Tyne, in conjunction with an Ophthalmologist and Old Age Psychiatrist, assessing patients with a variety of visual and hallucinatory experiences. He is also interested in the use of clozapine to treatment psychosis in PD. He is chair of the North East and Cumbria Parkinson’s Excellence Network and heavily involved in regional service development and undergraduate and postgraduate neurology teaching. One of his favourite parts of the year is teaching on the Parkinson’s Academy Masterclass.
